8 has partnered with Coach in a Box
to
provide a robust and scalable solution to
post-training coaching of leaders.
The Coach in a Box
module in our programs is a highly structured
coaching program used to build the leadership
capacity of senior leaders in an organisation.
Coach in a Box has dovetailed their approach to
include the language and IP introduced in Group 8
training, providing greater integration of the two
modules.
It comprises five phone coaching sessions, four of which are 'generalist' sessions conducted by a coach with experience in the field of leadership applying to the coach, and one conducted by a 'specialist' coach with a psychology or psychotherapy background. This specialist coach can assist the coachee to get to the underlying blockers that often prevent or curtail growth.
The program within the Group 8 context comprises three key stages:
Sustaining Momentum: This step will look at what causes this and help examine how you can be an authentic role model more of the time.
Coaching for Attitude: This step will build on the tools you learnt on the workshop and help you apply them to influencing and shaping the attitudes within the school.
Leading Change: The final step will broaden the conversation to look at how as senior leaders you can impact the school as a whole. By this stage we’ll have the data from the teacher voice questionnaires and can use this to develop a focused and appropriate school transformation plan.
