Student Voice individual is
effectively a 180 degree survey instrument that
provides student feedback to individual teachers.
Its explicit purpose is provide input into teacher coaching, and helps inform the question "where will I grow next as a professional that will interest and challenge me?".
Feedback is provided by students through an online survey, and when completed, provides online data feedback to teachers on each class that has been surveyed.
The teacher is seen as the owner of the feedback: the feedback is not directly available to any other school leader or staff member. The teacher may or may not wish to share the details of the feedback with their class(es), coach or peers.
Thirty questions are used, and cover a broad range of professional dimensions, ranging from attitude and behaviour to traditional and contemporary instructional practice. Click here to see the questions used in this survey.
